Trees are the only autotrophs on the mother Earth that can harvest solar energy and produce food for rest of the living organisms. They are also the biggest oxygen producer. As a responsibility towards the society and towards earth at large, the university organizes a plantation drive every year and nurture them to result into a mini forest in this semi-arid region.

Such tree plantation drive was held on August 03, 2022 at the Department of Electronics, Saurashtra University, Rajkot in which 18 trees were planted. All teaching and non-teaching staff and students participated in the drive with enthusiasm. Also the students took guardianship of the trees planted.
